Elding

Print Design

This illustration was meant to be printed on different products for Elding's Souvenir Shop. I tried to portrait some of Iceland's main features: Days with no nights during the summer, vulcanos and waterfalls, a humpback whale (one of the most popular and frequently sighted species around the island) and a rainbow that simbolizes the LGBT comunity's rights (Iceland is known to be one of the most progressive countries on this regard).

These illustrations were meant to be printed on merchandise for Elding’s souvenir shop. The Atlantic Puffin is one of the main target species on the tours during the summer season. The different designs were based on some of the characteristic traits of the species, such as its prey or their billing beahavious (couples greet each other by rubbing their beaks, as if they were kissing).

Illustration made in watercolor, color pencil and Indian ink on paper, with posterior digital edition. This design was based on the humpback whale species, Megaptera novaeangliae, the most popular target species and the moon jellyfish, Aurelia aurita, one of the main secondary species encountered during the tour.
