The oceanographic campaign took place around the geological complex Madeira-Tore (2 surveys of 20 days each). Main tasks included cetaceans' observation and acoustic data collection; participation in water sampling for DNA, plankton and mesopelagic community; cetaceans’ data processing and analyses, based on a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach.

Fisheries' Observer - POPA (Observation Program of Azores' Fisheries) (Azores, Portugal)

Monitoring the tuna fishing activities (stock quantification and characterization) insuring there were no intentional molestation or mortality of cetaceans and collecting data on cetaceans, turtles and marine birds observation (10 hours per day). Every shipping would take around 7 days at sea.

Participation in the animal care taking at the primate department, working with different kind of macaques (barbaries, rhesus, crab-eating), vervets and baboons. The primary responsibilities included cleaning the cages and changing cage furniture, feeding the animals 3 times a day, preparing and providing enrichment, preparing the food for the animals, assist in writing a daily report about the health and behavioural status of the animals.

Volunteer Coordinator and Keeper in the Iberian Wolf Recovering Centre (Portugal)

Responsible for the monitoring and nursing, as well as medical treatment administration on two wolf pups and volunteer coordinator (Portuguese and foreign residents).
